Correspondence on an exhibition project in Hiroshima
Gonzalo García Badell, director of the Commercial Area of the State Society to carry out programmes for the Fifth Centenary, writes to Alfonso E. Pérez Sánchez, director of the Museo Nacional del Prado, to present the Japanese company Hakuhodo Inc. and to ask for his collaboration in a proposed project on Hiroshima, in Japan, in conjunction with the acts of the Fifth Centenary held in Asia. Iwao Ikenoya, coordinator of Spain-related projects, explains the project, which will include a photographic reproduction of Guernica and its original sketches, as well as other materials, and asks how to proceed. Alfonso E. Pérez replies that he will pass the project over to the museum's Royal Board of Trustees, after which he points out that it will need backing from Japan's Ministry of Culture.
