Julio Álvarez del Vayo writes to Luis Araquistáin regarding the whereabouts of the invoice Pablo Picasso signed over to Max Aub in Paris in 1937 to the sum of 150,000 francs, equivalent to the acquisition of Guernica. The invoice was subsequently lost, along with documentation from the Archive of the Minsitry of the State, in the Republican government’s evacuation of Barcelona.
