BIACS 2. Lo despilfarrador (BIACS 2. Squandering)

Issued to coincide with the end of the second International Biennial of Contemporary Art of Seville (BIACS 2, October 26, 2006 – January 15, 2007), the Plataforma de Reflexión sobre Políticas Culturales (Platform of Reflection on Cultural Policies, PRCP) compared what they regarded as a lavish, fraudulent waste of resources to “another failed Biennial, the Biennial of Valencia”. They also quoted Robert Buergel, the director of the next documenta 12 (June 16 –September 23, 2007), who in an interview with El País on December 16, 2006, characterised some of the fundamental problems with the Biennial system.
